Nicola joins the HQ Team

The November 2019 NEC was pleased to approve the nomination of Nicola Taylor-Ebong as new Vice-Chair (Cafcass). This post remained vacant at the end of the last Napo year, while the Family Court Section Exec tried to find a successor for Jay Barlow, who has done the job for the past two years.

Nicola is in the North-West Family Court Section and works in Lancashire. She has already joined the Officer team at Napo Head Office and we look forward to hearing from her on how she is finding the role in the April issue of the magazine.

Get networking

The November NEC also took a decision to disband the unions National Committees (apart from PNC, Steering and Equal Rights committee) in their current form and instead form networks as follows:

  • Professional and Training network
  • Campaign network
  • Health and Safety Network
  • Trade Union Organising Network
  • Women in Napo Network
  • Napo Black Network
  • Manager member network
  • AP member network
  • Retired Members network

Members already elected to committees will be assumed to be part of the relevant network and additional members will be encouraged to join networks with no cap on membership.

More information and invitations to join will be coming out to members shortly.
