NPS staff who transferred from Capita and the pay award

We have had queries from members who transferred from Capita to the NPS about when they can expect their offer letters with regard to the pay award. This was raised once again with the employer at this month’s Trade Union Engagement meeting.

The position that Napo reported following the last meeting on the 13th December was that we had been assured that letters would be sent to every member of staff affected in time for them to consider and sign the necessary paperwork to receive their pay award in the January pay run. Unbeknown to Napo, further queries about the process were raised by Unison after that meeting, but unfortunately Napo were not informed by the employer that further discussions were in train.

This delayed the issue of the letters and therefore the deadline for January pay was missed. We have made it clear to the employer that it is wholly unacceptable to keep these members waiting any longer; and we have been assured that the letters will go out within a week and in plenty of time for the affected staff to return their reply by the deadline for February pay.

Any members in the affected group should contact Katie Lomas with any queries once they receive their letter.
