Probation bosses receive a light grilling from Justice Select Committee

The Justice Select Committee continued its investigation into Transforming Rehabilitation by asking more witnesses to give evidence today.

This time was the turn of:
Trevor Shortt, Director of Operations (Community)
Ed Roberts, Finance Director, Sodexo CRC Business, Sodexo
John Baumback, Managing Director, Seetec
Suki Binning, Chief Executive Officer, Kent, Surrey and Sussex CRC

They were followed by:
Sonia Crozier, Probation and Executive Director, Probation and Women
Kilvinder Vigurs, Probation Divisional Director London
Lynda Marginson, Probation Divisional Director North East
and Ian Barrow, Probation Divisional Director Wales, National Probation Service

Witnesses were asked to provide evidence of innovation, ability to reduce reoffending and collaborate on a multi-agency level. CRC bosses were also put on the spot about  the extra government payout and whether they saw themselves as viable.
